Injury Process for High School Athletes
Injury Process for Middle School Athletes
- Evaluation of injury
- Proper care or course of action is determined
- Athletic Trainer will report the athletes injury status, rehabilitative needs and/or plans for return to play to all coaches and parents
- Rehabilitation/Treatment of injuries takes place in the training room every morning
- Monday – 7:00am
- Tuesday – Thursday – 2nd Period
- Friday – 7:00am
- If the athlete is sent to a Physician they must return with a doctor’s note – If they are sent from the Athletic Training Room they will be sent with a note to have signed
- Daily emails will be sent to all coaches to report athletes injuries and practice status
Injury Process for Middle School Athletes
- Visits to the middle school will occur on Monday’s from 1:00pm – 2:00pm for injury evaluation
- Proper care or course of action is determined
- The Athletic Trainer will report the athletes injury status, rehabilitative needs and/or plans for return to play to all coaches by email
- Rehabilitation of injuries: Athlete will be sent with an exercise plan to be performed at practice and/or at home
- Please contact Adam Bretschneider if you feel your athlete needs to be evaluated before Monday
Medical Provider Visits
- Medical providers from Lexington Regional Health Center and Plum Creek Medical Group will make visits to the Athletic Training Room throughout the year on Wednesday afternoons.
- If your athlete has an injury to be evaluated, you will have the option of seeing this medical provider during that time.
