Mission Statement
The mission of the Lexington High School Athletic Training Department is to provide quality athletic training services to all student-athletes at Lexington High School. The primary services include prevention, recognition, assessment, evaluation, immediate care, management and rehabilitation of injuries. The athletic training staff will make every effort to educate coaches, parents and student-athletes on injuries. The staff will also provide knowledge on ways to properly manage injuries with the ultimate goal to help student-athletes lead healthy injury-free life-styles.
Philosophy
The philosophy of the athletic training department is that the health and safety of all student-athletes is of upmost concern for the athletic training staff. Prevention of injuries is of great importance to significantly reduce the risk of injury to student-athletes. When injuries strike, the staff is dedicated to addressing injuries in a timely manner and will work hard to return student-athletes to their respective sports as soon as is medically safe.
This department is dedicated to providing athletes with the highest standards of care possible. The Athletic Training staff is dedicated to continuing education to improve knowledge and ensure the most modern care is being practiced. The department remains committed to continued upkeep and upgrading of equipment in the athletic training facility to ensure the most modern care is practiced.
The Lexington High School Athletic Training Department aspires to be recognized for its excellence in Athletic Training. It is our goal to be recognized as the top program at the high school level in all classes in the state on Nebraska. The athletic training staff is committed to strive for this excellence.
